WEBINAR

Transform Your Spatial Biology Workflow

Learn, Apply, and Scale with Stereo-seq

  • Thursday, June 12
  • 10:00 AM PT | 1:00 PM ET

Spatial transcriptomics is a transformative new approach that maps gene expression within the native tissue context, offering unprecedented insights into disease mechanisms, tissue architecture, and cellular interactions. In this webinar, we’ll explore the power of Stereo-seq. This sequencing-based spatial transcriptomics platform delivers whole-transcriptome analysis at true single-cell resolution, without the need for custom probe design.

Our session will begin with an overview of the Stereo-seq technology, presented by Dr. Yongfu Wang of Complete Genomics, highlighting how this innovative platform is redefining what’s possible in spatial biology. Next, Dr. Zehuan Liao from Johns Hopkins University, our spatial grant winner, will share how he aims to use Stereo-seq technology to explore the underlying mechanisms of cortical metabolic dysregulation in spinocerebellar ataxia type 12 (SCA12) pathogenesis. Finally, Dr. Xiao Yin Ma from Admera Health will walk us through a streamlined workflow for Stereo-seq—from sample to analysis—making high-resolution spatial biology more accessible than ever.

Speakers:

Introducing Stereo-seq: Redefining What’s Possible in Spatial Transcriptomics

Yongfu Wang, PhD
Sr. Manager, Field & Sales Support for STOmics, Complete Genomics

Yongfu Wang leads scientific advising, technical support, and customer enablement for the Stereo-seq spatial platform. He brings deep scientific expertise and a strong track record from previous roles at the Stowers Institute and the University of Kansas, driving customer success through research and operational leadership.

From Broad Insights to Cellular Precision: Dr. Liao’s Vision for Understanding Spinocerebellar Ataxia Type 12 (SCA12) with Stereo-seq

Zehuan Liao, PhD
Research Fellow, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine

Zehuan Liao currently investigates the impact of gene mutations on human health using induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and mouse models. His research highlights metabolic dysregulation in cortical brain regions as a key factor in SCA12 pathogenesis, laying the groundwork for potential new therapeutic strategies. During his talk, he will highlight how Stereo-seq will enable him to elucidate molecular mechanisms of spinocerebellar ataxia type 12.

From Sample to Analysis: Streamlined Spatial Transcriptomics Workflow

Xiao Yin Ma, PhD
Project Specialist II, Admera Health

Xiao Yin Ma consults on next-generation sequencing with a focus on spatial transcriptomics at Admera Health. In this talk, she will demonstrate how a streamlined Stereo-seq workflow enables researchers to efficiently and precisely uncover spatial biology insights.
