Research - Scientist 1

CGI is seeking a scientist with knowledge and experience in DNA engineering including DNA processing, DNA amplification and DNA vector and library preparation. The candidate will development new technologies for preparation of special DNA libraries for fast and low cost complete genome sequencing. The scope of work involves designing and performing effective experiments, including use of multiple DNA processing enzymes. The ideal candidate will be independent, motivated and highly creative with the ability to effectively interact with diverse experts participating in the development of this cutting edge technology. In addition to proven success in the DNA engineering and processing field, the candidate will form skills by using computation tools for assembly and analysis of genome maps and sequences. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Molecular biology, Biochemistry or related fields, with a minimum of one year of relevant postdoctoral. Industry experience is required.
