Responsibilities:

CGI is looking for a pro-active, well organized innovative and energetic Equipment Maintenance Technician to join the engineering team.  The successful candidate will support liquid handling and imaging systems consisting of electronic, pneumatic, vacuum and positioning subsystems.  This lead production position also encompasses the facilities for the system support.  Excellent organization and scheduling skills are a must to ensure that all subsystems and facilities are functional.  There will also be other job aspects such as assisting in rolling out new subsystems and design improvements and supporting other facility systems.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree, technical training or equivalent experience in electro-mechanical engineering.
  
• Experience with pneumatic and electrical control systems such as those found in complex semiconductor equipment, laboratory or medical equipment and the system facilities requirements.
  
• Scheduling and completing repair, maintenance, and calibration of equipment.
  
• Assisting in the oversight of contractors for maintenance and repair of facilities and / or lab equipment.
  
• Excellent communications skills.
  
• Solid working knowledge of MS Word & Excel.
  
• Equipment and lab safety.

Preferred skills:

• Experience with biology liquid handling.
  
• Imaging system alignment and repair.
  
• Experience managing facilities maintenance and repair.
